January 2, 2021 marks the 85th anniversary of Professor of the Department of Faculty Surgery of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Member of the European Association of Intensive Care, Academician of the Russian Academy of Laser Sciences, member of the International Association of Hepatology Surgeons, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Sitnikov Veniamin Arsenyevich. This article is devoted to the study of his biography, the description of his merits and achievements in medicine throughout his life.
