<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The aim of our research was to study the current and future trends in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. This review presents recommendations of leading hepatology Associations in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The article describes the results of research at the development of new directions in the treatment of this disease and rates the of the most promising drugs. Conclusions. There are several new drugs for treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease under clinical trials today, but further research is needed to assess their long-term efficacy and safety. One of the more pathogenetically grounded drugs for the treatment of NAFLD is ademetionine.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>неалкогольная жировая болезнь печени</kwd><kwd>неалкогольный стеатогепатит</kwd><kwd>терапия</kwd><kwd>новые препараты</kwd><kwd>адеметионин</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>nonalcoholic fatty liver disease</kwd><kwd>nonalcoholic steatohepatitis</kwd><kwd>treatment</kwd><kwd>S-adenosylmethionine</kwd><kwd>ademetionine</kwd><kwd>new drugs</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ивашкин В.
