Пациентам с заболеваниями сердечно-сосудистой системы в ряде случаев требуется длительная или постоянная терапия антитромбоцитарными и/или антикоагулянтными препаратами, которые увеличивают выживаемость и являются неотъемлемой составляющей комплексной терапии и профилактики различных данных заболеваний. У лиц пожилого возраста такие распространённые заболевания сердечно-сосудистой системы, как ишемическая болезнь сердца, мерцательная аритмия, пороки сердца, артериальная гипертензия, атеросклероз сосудов сопровождаются высоким риском внутрисосудистого тромбообразования и нуждаются в назначении противотромботической терапии. При этом возникает ряд вопросов, связанных с назначением этой терапии пациентам старшей возрастной группы. Возраст (особенно старше 75 лет) является фактором риска как развития тромбоэмболических осложнений, так и желудочно-кишечных кровотечений. В случае развития эрозий слизистой оболочки при лечении антиагрегантами и/или антикоагулянтами для защиты слизистой желудка могут быть использованы ингибиторы желудочной секреции.

The antithrombotic therapy is required in such cases. However the purpose of such therapy in patients of the older age group raises a number of issues. The Age (especially over 75 years) is a risk factor for both the development of thromboembolic complications, and gastrointestinal bleeding. The gastric secretion inhibitors can be used to protect the gastric mucosa in the case of the mucosal erosions in the antiplatelet and / or anticoagulant treatment.
